Job Summary

Colliers Engineering & Design is seeking a seasoned Professional Land Surveyor to lead our Survey team in a management capacity. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in surveying and management, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality results while maintaining a focus on cost-effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities
  • Department Operations: Oversee the day-to-day activities of the Survey team, ensuring that all projects are completed to the highest standards of quality and accuracy.
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement long-range objectives, goals, and plans to drive the success of the Survey team and the company as a whole.
  • Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance and support to team members, ensuring that they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • Marketing and Business Development: Collaborate with the Marketing Department to develop and implement marketing strategies that drive business growth and revenue.
  • Client Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring that their needs are met and exceeded.
  • Project Management: Oversee the management of projects from start to finish, ensuring that they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Team Management: Supervise and manage a team of surveyors, ensuring that they are motivated, trained, and equipped to perform their duties effectively.
Requirements
  • Professional Qualifications: Possess a Professional Surveyor License in Michigan and a strong understanding of surveying principles and practices.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microsoft Office Suite, with a strong understanding of geospatial technologies and techniques.
  • Business Acumen: Possess a strong understanding of business principles and practices, including marketing, finance, and project management.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members to achieve their best.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders.
