Key Responsibilities
  • Teach Electrical Technology courses, including 100 and 200-level classes
  • Coordinate adjunct faculty teaching Electrical Technology courses
  • Develop and implement curriculum for Electrical Technology courses
  • Evaluate student performance and instructional methods
  • Participate in professional development activities, including obtaining and maintaining industry recognized certifications
  • Collaborate with other departments on interdisciplinary projects and campus events
  • Attend faculty meetings, department meetings, and committee meetings
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in a related field with five years of professional experience, or an Associate's degree with ten years of experience. A Master's degree and experience teaching at the two-year college level are preferred.

The candidate must be willing to teach weekends and evenings as assigned and participate in professional development activities. The ability to obtain and maintain industry recognized certifications is also required.

Work Environment

The faculty member will be assigned to teach on a 9-month contract of 15 credit hours per semester. The work environment will be a typical office setting with significant amounts of interpersonal interaction.
