Poly Line Operator Job Description

At Central Garden & Pet, we are seeking a highly skilled Poly Line Operator to join our team. As a Poly Line Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining the polyline equipment used to produce and shape cushion inserts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate polyline equipment to produce cushion inserts according to production specifications.
  • Set up the polyline machine for each production run, including loading materials, and perform test runs to ensure proper operation.
  • Monitor the production process to ensure that products meet quality standards. Inspect products for consistency, size, and shape.
  • Load raw materials into the machine and ensure a continuous supply throughout the production process. Monitor material levels and notify the supervisor of any shortages.
  • Transfer poly onto carts and deliver to the production floor.
  • Identify and help resolve any issues that arise during the production process, such as machine malfunctions or material jams.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures while operating and maintaining the polyline equipment. Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required and report any safety hazards to the supervisor.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment is preferred.
  • Ability to lift materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to sit, bend, twist, stoop, stand and walk for at least 3 hours at a stretch, over an 8 or 10-hour shift, with 15-minute breaks.
