Outward Bound Hounds is a unique pet care service dedicated to enhancing the well-being of pets through comprehensive care. We are in search of passionate and professional dog walkers and pet sitters who are committed to delivering exceptional service to our beloved furry clients.
Position Details- Role: Professional Dog Walker / Pet Sitter
- Availability: Candidates should be able to work consistently Monday through Friday, with options for Morning Shifts (8am - 12pm) and/or Afternoon Shifts (12pm - 4pm).
- Schedule: Initial hours will range from 10-15 hours per week, with potential to increase to 20 hours, and possibly up to 30 hours during peak seasons.
- Service Area: We cater to various communities, ensuring routes are designed to minimize travel time.
Hourly pay ranges from $20 to $21, with initial training at $15 per hour. With gratuities and bonuses, earnings may exceed $21 per hour. Monthly income can vary between $800 and $1250, depending on availability and performance.
- 100% of client gratuities are retained.
- Mileage reimbursement is provided at 67 cents per mile.
- Travel to clients' homes throughout the day to provide pet care services.
- Comfortably manage walking two dogs at once, with weights ranging from 60-80lbs.
- Adhere to client instructions for pet care, including walking, feeding, administering medication, and cleaning up after pets.
- Perform home care tasks as part of our 24-hour pet-sitting service, such as managing trash, collecting mail, and ensuring home safety.
- Complete visits based on client requests and time frames.
- Engage in outdoor walks with dogs across all seasons.
- Maintain a healthy work-life balance while being available for some holidays and weekends.
- Possesses critical thinking skills and the ability to work independently.
- Demonstrates a commitment to teamwork and professional growth.
- Comfortable with overnight pet sitting responsibilities.
- Exhibits a strong desire to contribute to a local small business.
- Delivers first-class customer service.
- Availability during evenings, weekends, and holidays is a plus.
- Ideal for individuals seeking to advance their careers in pet care.
- Previous experience in dog walking, daycare, grooming, or volunteering at shelters is advantageous.
