Medical Unit Registered Nurse

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Medical Unit team at Northeast Georgia Health System. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide high-quality patient care and contribute to a culture of excellence and safety.
Job SummaryThis is a dynamic and challenging role that requires a strong foundation in nursing principles and a passion for delivering exceptional patient care. You will work collaboratively with our experienced surgeons and healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to patients undergoing various surgical procedures.
Responsibilities- Provide direct and safe patient care based on the nursing process
- Coordinate care for assigned patients on a shift to promote clinical outcomes
- Collaborate with the care team to recruit and retain an excellent nursing care team
- Participate in unit council and nursing quality teams to improve NDNQI nursing sensitive indicators, RN Satisfaction, Employee Engagement, Culture of Safety, and Patient Experience data
- Licensure or other certifications: Licensed to practice as an RN in Georgia
- Education: Associates Degree
- Experience: Completion of Peri-op 101 or equivalent and/or experience in a procedural area
- Preferred qualifications: National certification in clinical specialty, Bachelor of Nursing Degree, and two years of experience in specialty nursing field (Operating Room)
