Veterans Enterprise Technology Solutions is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for the Acute Medical-Surgical unit.
Key ResponsibilitiesAs a vital member of the 5th-floor Acute Medical-Surgical unit, you will be part of a 40-bed facility renowned for its post-operative care, particularly for patients with acute and chronic gastrointestinal and urologic conditions. This unit is recognized as a Center of Excellence for bariatric surgery, committed to providing outstanding patient care.
Your role as a Registered Professional Nurse will encompass a comprehensive range of nursing duties, including:
- Assessment and diagnosis of patient conditions
- Planning and implementing care strategies
- Evaluating patient outcomes
- Prescribing and delegating nursing tasks
- Coordinating and supervising patient education
- Overseeing ancillary nursing personnel activities
In this position, you will deliver both direct and indirect patient care while adhering to professional nursing standards.
QualificationsThe ideal candidate will possess:
- Graduation from a State Board accredited School of Nursing or equivalent
- Preferred six (6) months of relevant nursing experience
- Current RN license or permit to practice professional nursing in Texas
- American Heart Association BLS certification within two (2) weeks of employment
Salary: Based on experience
Shift: Nights
