We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our team at Clark Veterinary Hospital in Nashua, New Hampshire.
Key Responsibilities- Support veterinarians in providing high-quality patient care and advocating for the well-being of animals.
- Assist with surgical procedures, anesthesia, and dental care, ensuring compliance with state regulations and industry standards.
- Communicate effectively with clients, providing personalized guidance on pet health concerns and offering recommendations for Thrive Membership options, medications, and additional treatments.
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive medical records, utilizing practice systems to ensure seamless patient care.
- Obtain relevant health history and information from clients, while upholding confidentiality and professionalism.
- Utilize safe restraining techniques, adhere to standard protocols, and maintain clean, sterile, and organized treatment areas, exam rooms, and labs.
- Collaborate with fellow team members, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure a positive and productive work environment.
- 2-3 years of experience as a Veterinary Technician or Assistant, with a strong background in clinical care.
- 1-2 years of experience in a veterinary setting, with a focus on surgical, anesthesia, and dental care.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree from an AVMA-accredited veterinary technology program, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
