Job Title: Travel Cath Lab Technologist

We are seeking a skilled Cath Lab Technologist to join our team on a travel assignment in San Francisco, California.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for observing cardiac rhythms, running and posting rhythm strips, and interpreting rhythms to validate computer readouts. They will also be responsible for checking and verifying lead placement on patients, comparing posted strips to previous strips, and notifying nursing staff of changes. Additionally, they will test equipment for proper working order and maintain a clean and orderly work area.

Requirements:
  • Proven 2 years of experience as an EKG Technologist
  • Independent decision-making skills
  • Solid understanding of patient safety and precautions
  • Excellent communication skills with staff, physicians, patients, and families
  • Ability to relate positively to residents and families and work cooperatively with other employees
  • Capable of maintaining regular attendance
Responsibilities:
  • Observe cardiac rhythm of patients on monitor
  • Run and post rhythm stripes at designated intervals
  • Interpret rhythms and validate computer readout
  • Check and verify lead placement on patients
  • Compare posted strip to previous strip and notify nursing staff of changes
  • Notify nursing staff of any change in cardiac rhythm
  • Test equipment for proper working order
  • Maintain work area clean and orderly
