We are seeking a highly skilled Biologics Director to lead our antibody discovery efforts and drive the progression of biologics programs from early discovery to IND.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading biologics programs, integrating early research, and progressing candidates through nomination and selection. They will also be accountable for the performance and results of a significant research function, with a focus on in vitro based discovery platforms, yeast, and phage.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in antibody discovery, optimization, and progression, with experience in managing research teams and driving scientific strategy. They will be a collaborative leader, working closely with internal and external groups to drive efficient and transparent workflows.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead biologics programs from discovery to IND, integrating early research and progressing candidates through nomination and selection.
  • Develop and implement research strategies to drive scientific progress and innovation.
  • Manage and lead research teams, providing guidance and support to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Collaborate with internal and external groups to drive efficient and transparent workflows.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including business development and project teams.
Requirements:
  • PhD degree in a scientific discipline with 10+ years of experience, or MS with 16+ years of experience, or BS with 18+ years of experience.
  • 9 years of industry experience required.
  • 9 years of managerial experience required.
  • Outstanding expertise and depth of knowledge within a scientific area.
  • Ability to keep up with the latest scientific advancements and apply them to drive research strategy.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire research teams.
