Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Registered Radiology Technologist to join our team at Wellstar Cobb Hospital in Austell, Georgia. As a key member of our Diagnostic Imaging Services department, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care, leading a team of technologists, and ensuring the highest quality imaging services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of radiology technologists and provide guidance and support to ensure excellent patient care and high-quality imaging services.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of departmental policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Collaborate with the radiology department manager to plan and coordinate imaging services, including scheduling, staffing, and equipment maintenance.
  • Provide training and education to radiology technologists on new procedures, equipment, and techniques to ensure they are up-to-date with the latest imaging technologies.
  • Conduct quality control checks on imaging equipment and ensure that all imaging studies are properly documented and stored.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient satisfaction and outcomes.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination and patient satisfaction.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an AMA-approved School of Radiologic Technology.
  • Current certification in Radiography (ARRT) and Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a Registered Radiology Technologist.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on patient care and quality imaging services.
