Mission Support and Test Services, LLC (MSTS) is a leading organization in the field of national security experimentation and incident response capabilities. As a Senior Field Engineer, you will play a crucial role in supporting the construction department during activities for issue for construction (IFC) design packages of infrastructure projects.

MSTS manages and operates the Nevada National Security Site (NNSS) for the U.S. National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA). Our mission is to provide high-hazard experimentation and incident response capabilities through operations, engineering, education, field, and integration services. Responsibilities
  • Participate in walk-downs, generate sketches, develop conceptual designs, evaluate existing systems, and generate or review functional requirement documents.
  • Ensure processes and deliverables comply with laws, codes, orders, and MSTS policies and procedures.
  • Review engineering documents for constructibility during various design reviews.
  • Verify and report on construction installation quantities.
  • Interface with Project Engineering to facilitate responses to Requests for Information (RFIs), Field Change Requests (FCRs), and needed design changes.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering program accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET) required for Civil, Mechanical, and Electrical engineering degrees.
  • At least 5 years' relevant experience, demonstrating technical specialization or cross-disciplinary knowledge.
  • Execute work in a disciplined manner to demonstrate compliance with laws, codes, orders, and MSTS policies and procedures.
  • Experience working as a member of a team of professional and technical personnel.
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary range of $97,011.20 - $145,516.80, based on market value, education, and experience. The primary work location will be at the Nevada National Security Site, with a schedule of 4/10s, Monday-Thursday, from 7:00am to 5:30pm. A pre-placement physical examination, including a drug screen, is required. A valid driver's license is also necessary.
