Unit Overview

The Medical Telemetry Unit specializes in the management of patients with cardiac, pulmonary, stroke, neuro, and dialysis needs, featuring 31 private rooms. Our team provides comprehensive care for a diverse range of patients requiring:
  • Management of cardiac arrhythmias
  • IV therapy
  • Nutritional support
  • Wound care
  • Hemodialysis
  • Blood glucose monitoring
  • Physical therapy
  • Respiratory therapy
  • Pain management

Position Overview

The Registered Professional Nurse at Northside Hospital is responsible for independently planning and delivering nursing care to patients in alignment with physician directives and established protocols, adhering to the scope of practice as outlined by the Georgia Nurse Practice Act.

Qualifications

Required:
  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program and a valid RN license in Georgia in good standing.
  • A minimum of two (2) years of full-time nursing experience post-orientation or residency.
  • Certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association.
  • Additional cardiopulmonary resuscitation certifications (ACLS, NRP, PALS, etc.) may be required based on unit specifications.
  • Refer to the specific clinical unit for further educational and certification requirements.
  • Unit-specific RN attributes may also be necessary.

Preferred:
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred.
  • National Certification in a Clinical Specialty is preferred.
  • Additional preferred RN attributes may be unit-specific.
