Job Summary

The Nurse Assistant in the Med Surg/Telemetry Department provides essential support to the Registered Nurse in charge of the team and/or unit, assisting with activities of daily living and basic nursing care to non-critical patients. This role requires a strong knowledge of Medical Terminology and a minimum of six months previous experience in an acute care hospital or physician's office.

Responsibilities

* Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and feeding patients
* Provide basic nursing care, such as taking vital signs and assisting with medication administration
* Maintain a safe environment, adhering to hospital policies and procedures

Requirements

* Current Certified Nursing Assistant certificate upon hire, preferred
* Current BLS (AHA) within 30 days of hire and maintain current
* Possesses knowledge of Medical Terminology
* Minimum six months previous experience in an acute care hospital or physician's office preferred
