Job Summary

This Sales Associate position is located at our store in Brighton, Michigan. The primary responsibilities of this role are to provide exceptional customer service, generate sales, and maintain a well-organized store environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Greets all customers and assists in answering questions about merchandise and locating products.
  • Completes all company and departmental paperwork accurately, including price changes and inventory adjustments.
  • Receives, opens, and unpacks cartons or crates of merchandise, checking paperwork against items received.
  • Maintains on-hand integrity through inventory adjustment reports and follows the nightly maintenance checklist to ensure proper store recovery and cleanliness.
  • Has sound awareness of surroundings, customers, etc. and practices loss prevention techniques to minimize shoplifting losses.
  • Follows GLA policies and procedures for all transactions and engages customers to ensure they are receiving all the benefits of being an Ace Rewards member.
Requirements
  • Six months related experience and/or training preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents, write routine reports, and speak effectively with customers or associates.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to apply common sense and understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.

While performing the duties of this job, the associate occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and may work near outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Compensation

$12.50 Per Hour
