Job Title: Low Voltage Technician

Pavion is seeking a skilled and motivated Low Voltage Technician to join our security business unit. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for installing, programming, and testing fire alarm systems, access control systems, and networked CCTV systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install and program fire alarm systems to ensure optimal performance and safety.
  • Install and program access control systems to provide secure and efficient access to facilities.
  • Install and program networked CCTV systems to provide real-time monitoring and surveillance.
  • Read blueprints and schematics using Bluebeam to ensure accurate installation and programming.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with systems to identify equipment and systems repair needs.
  • Communicate effectively with individuals and teams at all levels and across diverse cultures.
  • Interact professionally with customers to provide excellent service and support.
  • Lead a team of 2 to 5 technicians on a jobsite to ensure successful project completion.
Basic Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 5+ years' experience installing and programming fire alarms, access control, and CCTV systems.
  • Strong understanding of general building practices and processes.
  • CSA or NICET 2 certification.
  • Valid Driver's License and acceptable driving record.
  • Effective communication skills to convey job status to coordinators and Superintendents.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with networking and integration of multiple systems under one platform such as Milestone or Genetec.
  • Notifier certification.
  • Factory certifications for DSC, Lenel, Brivo, Dormakaba, or well-known CCTV systems.
