Job Description

This is a rewarding opportunity for a licensed driver who wants to make a difference in their community. As a Delivery Truck Driver, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety of each delivery from pickup to drop-off. You will work with various trucks, including straight box trucks, and perform warehousing duties as needed.

  • You will interact with customers in a friendly and professional manner.
  • You will adhere to assigned delivery schedules and follow job directives precisely.
  • You will document every step of each delivery by taking and uploading photos using our camera phone system.
  • You will obey all regulatory agency and company safety directives.
  • You will work in cooperation with the Delivery Material Handler to determine where to set materials and physically unload them.
  • You will complete a thorough load check on your truck before leaving the branch, ensuring that all delivery materials are firmly secured and all parts of your truck comply with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • You will obey all traffic laws and weight limits.
  • You will complete and file all logs and required government paperwork in a precise and timely manner.
  • You will provide customers with an invoice on completion of each delivery and collect the entire due amount on COD deliveries.
  • You may be responsible for warehouse work, including loading and unloading materials onto or off of trucks or into the warehouse as assigned.
Requirements
  • You must have a valid driver's license.
  • You must be able to lift 75lbs consistently.
  • You must pass a pre-employment drug screen and random drug screens.
  • You must have the ability to stand, bend, climb, twist, and reach throughout your shift.
  • Experience with building materials and box trucks is a plus.
