Position Overview: We are currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented RN to join our team in Litchfield, CT. This role involves providing telephonic triage support to our patients, operating from 8 am to 5 pm.
Key Responsibilities:
- Address incoming clinical inquiries and manage appointment scheduling for medical services.
- Utilize established triage protocols to inform clinical decision-making.
- Coordinate appointment scheduling in accordance with patient preferences and triage guidelines.
- Escalate patient calls to healthcare providers as needed based on established protocols.
- Listen attentively to patient concerns and provide appropriate recommendations.
- Educate patients on additional services and preventive health opportunities.
- Document all interactions in our customer relations management (CRM) system.
- Collaborate with provider office staff regarding patient concerns and scheduling adjustments.
- Adhere to all guidelines ensuring the protection of personal and health information.
- Follow departmental policies and procedures consistently.
- Demonstrate strong critical thinking skills to resolve customer issues effectively.
- Exhibit exceptional judgment and interpersonal skills when handling sensitive information.
- Engage professionally with a diverse range of customers, including patients and healthcare staff.
- Work collaboratively with Patient Access Coordinator colleagues.
- Possess strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Be self-motivated with excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Strive to meet productivity goals and performance metrics.
