Position Overview:

Westchester Medical Center is seeking a full-time, board-certified Surgical Pathology Specialist with a strong background in general and oncologic pathology diagnostics. Candidates with fellowship training or specialized expertise in areas such as Gynecological Pathology, Breast Pathology, or Cardiothoracic/Pulmonary Pathology are highly desirable. Additional proficiency in other significant surgical pathology domains will be considered advantageous but is not mandatory. The selected candidate will actively contribute to the academic and scholarly objectives of the institution and engage in the education and training of medical students, residents, and staff. This role is part of a vibrant academic department featuring a diverse faculty, an ACGME-accredited residency program, and a supportive environment for practicing anatomic pathology.

Qualifications:
  • Must possess an M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. (or equivalent foreign degree).
  • Must have or be eligible for an unrestricted medical license to practice in New York State.
  • Preferred candidates will have the ability to obtain appropriate Certificates of Qualification (CoQ) for Medical Directorship in New York State.
  • Board certification in combined Anatomic and Clinical Pathology or in Anatomic Pathology is required.
  • Additional certification or experience in a subspecialty area is a plus.
