About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Telecommunications Installation Specialist to join our team at MasTec Communications Group. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and operating wired, wireless, fiber optic, and microwave telecommunications equipment and systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install and maintain telecommunications equipment and systems, including wired, wireless, fiber optic, and microwave systems.
  • Conduct site preparation and cleaning, including off-loading material and inventory.
  • Assist in tower erection, including climbing towers and ladders at various heights.
  • Install new carriers on new build and existing towers.
  • Assist in the assembly of monopole, all weld and knock down self-support and guyed towers.
  • Assist in the antenna installation of microwave parabolic 1 to 15-foot, VHF, UHF, cellular, and FM broadcast antennas.
  • Assist in the transmission line and installation of foam/air dielectric coaxial, hardline, and elliptical waveguide.
  • Assist in the installation of all aspects of cell site foundations, grounding, and conduits, with electrical installations where applicable.
Requirements
  • High School Degree or equivalent, with 8 years of experience in telecommunications installation and maintenance.
  • Ability to read, comprehend, and carry out instructions per prints.
  • Working knowledge of safety standards and regulations.
  • WSA certification is a plus.
  • Ability to climb towers, lift 50 lbs, and work up to 12 hours.
  • Valid driver's license and driving record meeting company policy conditions.
  • Ability and willingness to travel extensively for job-related functions.
