About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator to join our team at CyberCoders. As an Electrical Estimator, you will play a crucial role in preparing estimates, managing take-offs, and overseeing the activities of bid day to ensure our company's success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Compute cost factors and prepare estimates for management purposes, bids, and vendor qualification.
  • Manage and perform take-offs and quantity surveys according to company procedures.
  • Solicit quotes from approved vendors and optimize our strategic objectives.
  • Attend pre-bid job meetings and site surveys as required.
  • Prepare bid summaries, ensuring accurate and timely submissions.
  • Organize and coordinate bid day activities to ensure successful submissions.
  • Execute bid activities in accordance with company SOPs and submit scope letters, bid forms, and other bid submissions accurately and on time.
  • Spread and qualify subcontract bids and material quotations according to company procedures.
  • Generate RFIs when necessary and send to the appropriate entity.
Special Studies and Analysis
  • Conduct special studies to develop and analyze new material and installation procedures and related cost data to determine potential cost reductions.
  • Participate in Pre-Construction meetings to discuss department objectives and goals.
  • Perform peer bid reviews and analyze completed job cost information to improve estimating methods and procedures.
  • Understand the need and manage or assist Project Management in estimating change orders or other project needs related to pre-construction functions.
  • Assist in the training, guidance, and mentorship of entry-level and junior staff.
Requirements
  • 3+ years of relevant electrical estimating experience.
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field (Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, Accounting/Finance, etc.) or successful graduation of I.B.E.W. Journeyman preferred.
  • CPE Certified Professional Electrical Estimator a plus.
  • Proficiency in MS Office: Excel, Word, Outlook.
  • Proficiency in Bluebeam, ConstructJob, MS Project, or other related Construction Management software.
  • Proficiency in Accubid or other related Construction Estimating software.
  • Proven experience estimating relevant projects in the size of $50k - $5mm+.
