Position Summary:
We are seeking an Advanced Research Engineering Manager to join our dynamic team. This role is pivotal in spearheading research and development initiatives focused on advanced nuclear technologies. The successful candidate will lead a team of engineers and researchers in the exploration and implementation of cutting-edge solutions that enhance our nuclear systems.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Oversee the development of innovative testing frameworks to assess novel materials and thermal systems for nuclear applications.
2. Collaborate with product development teams to identify projects and technologies that mitigate risks and enhance manufacturing readiness levels (MRL) and technology readiness levels (TRL).
3. Direct the creation of engineering strategies for new manufacturing processes and evaluate their impact on component specifications.
4. Establish and support operational and technical procedures to facilitate the transition from research to production.

Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Physics is required.
- A minimum of seven (7) years of relevant experience in the nuclear industry or production process development.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to guide junior engineers and technicians.
- Strong expertise in materials science, particularly in the processing and performance of metallic materials.
- Experience in developing testing frameworks for high-temperature heat transfer in controlled environments.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- U.S. citizenship is required, along with the ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy (DOE) security clearance.

Preferred Skills:
- Experience in leading the development of test frameworks for advanced materials and systems.
- Familiarity with technology roadmaps and maturation plans.
- Knowledge of high-temperature heat pipes and thermal interface materials.
- Proficiency in laboratory instrumentation and programmable logic controllers (PLC).
- Experience in designing mechanical interfaces for high-temperature and vacuum environments.
- Proficient in CAD software, such as SolidWorks, for custom component design.
