Job Summary
  • This Per Diem Pathology Assistant position involves working in the Surgical Gross Room, examining and sectioning surgical pathology specimens, and determining work assignments for technologists and technicians.
  • You will also coordinate the surgical specimen workload of residents and serve as a technical resource, ensuring timely completion of processing and adherence to protocols for patient diagnosis.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work closely with the Gross Room and other laboratory sections, surgery, and physicians to ensure seamless coordination and communication.

About the Job

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree from a NACCL-accredited Pathologists' Assistant educational program or equivalent experience working in a laboratory performing high complexity testing.

AAP certification and 3 years of experience as a Pathologists Assistant in an academic hospital setting are preferred but not required.
