About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Embedded Systems Engineer to join our Kuiper MAC-SW team at Amazon. As a key member of our cross-functional team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing embedded firmware code for our Low Earth Orbit satellites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop Kuiper-MAC firmware components/drivers in a real-time embedded environment
  • Work with a cross-functional team to define multi-dimensional performance requirements
  • Make performance and optimization trade-offs to meet end-to-end use case requirements
  • Build component use-cases/test-cases and debug firmware code
  • Profile and execute code on RTOS and/or bare-metal embedded environment
  • Contribute to defining services and functionalities delivered by firmware-subsystems
  • Define, document, test, and debug firmware-HW interfaces
Requirements
  • 2+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience
  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language
Preferred Qualifications
  • 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

Compensation

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $129,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
