We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant to join our team at Mercy. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our healthcare team.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare patients for visits with providers by completing the Advanced Standard room process, including entering chief complaints, taking vital signs, reviewing patient history and allergies, and completing medication reconciliation.
- Assist with in-office testing, including drawing blood, completing mental status exams, EKGs, walking oxygen studies, and point-of-care testing.
- Administer vaccines and other injections within the scope of practice.
- Schedule follow-up appointments as needed, per office policy.
- Collaborate with providers and clinical care teams to monitor and coordinate delivery of care plans.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Must obtain BLS certification within 90 days of hire.
- Preferred experience: 6 months of clinical healthcare experience, preferably in a primary care office.
