Job Overview:
As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) at Altru Health, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care. This position requires a strong commitment to providing compassionate and personalized attention to patients, ensuring their physical and emotional needs are met.

Estimated Salary Range: $21.79 - $32.68 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Assist registered nurses or other licensed practitioners in identifying patient needs, prioritizing care, and setting goals based on age, ethnic origin, economic status, lifestyle, creed, or philosophical beliefs.
  • Contribute to the evaluation of care plans by gathering information, observing patient responses, recording data, and communicating effectively.
  • Demonstrate competence in department-specific functions according to established standards of care, policies, and procedures.
  • Work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team to implement comprehensive patient-centered care plans.
  • Delegate nursing interventions to others when necessary, ensuring they possess the required skills and competence.
  • Recognize early warning signs of changes in patient conditions and report them promptly.
  • Implement medical regimens and document care provided accurately and timely.
  • Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure quality and continuity of care.
  • Report patient self-reported symptoms of pain according to standard operating procedure.
  • Participate in health education approved by licensed practitioners.
  • Assist in discharge planning, education, and counseling based on identified patient needs.

Requirements:
  • Licensed Practical Nurse licensure in Minnesota, prior to start date.
  • Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association within 90 days of start date.

Working Conditions:
This role requires occasional sitting (5-33%), frequent standing (34-66%), walking, stooping/bending, reaching, squatting/crouching/kneeling, twisting, handling/finger/feel, seeing, and hearing. The employee must be able to lift, carry, push/pull, and slide/transfer medium-weight objects (20-40 pounds). The work environment is primarily indoor.
