Material Control Expediter
The Warehouse Material Control Expediter is responsible for managing and facilitating the movement of materials and work within the production department. This role involves picking and loading customer orders, receiving supplies from vendors, and handling bulk materials from transportation sources. Key responsibilities include reviewing and distributing production schedules, compiling reports on work progress, inventory levels, and addressing production challenges. Collaboration with the production team is essential to ensure the efficient and accurate transport of materials to and from the warehouse for production needs.
Shift & Schedule: This is a full-time position on Day Shift following a 2-2-3 schedule. Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as required is essential.
Working Hours: 6:00am - 6:00pm
- Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday
- Week 2: Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the production team lead to manage the flow of materials into the production area and prepare necessary documentation.
- Restock Kanban staging areas with required materials.
- Document material movements in the inventory management system as they occur.
- Work with production operators to resolve inventory discrepancies, identify causes, and clear excess inventory.
- Ensure all received products are accurate and properly stored or loaded.
- Timely and accurately pick and load customer orders.
- Identify and report inventory discrepancies to the Inventory Control or Production teams for resolution.
- Handle the loading and unloading of bulk materials from rail cars and trucks using appropriate equipment.
- Maintain cleanliness of forklifts and conduct daily audits of equipment.
- Adhere to and exceed 5S warehouse standards.
