We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our medical team at Memorial Occupational Medicine and Urgent Care. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology, and will be able to communicate effectively with patients, families, clients, and healthcare team members.
Responsibilities- Conduct patient assessments, including taking medical histories and performing physical examinations
- Develop treatment plans and prescribe medications
- Perform medical procedures and clinical tasks
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as X-Rays, EKGs, urinalysis, and blood work
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care
- Document patient encounters and maintain accurate medical records
- Valid and current California PA or NP license
- Valid and current Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) Registration
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Certification
- National Registry of Certified Medical Examiners (NRCME) Certification
- Proficiency in reading/interpreting X-Ray images
- Proficiency in reading/interpreting EKGs
- Proficiency in reading/interpreting lab work results
- Proficiency in procedures such as suturing, I&D, joint injections, and splinting
- Previous experience in workers' compensation, occupational health, and/or urgent care or similar settings
- Open availability for rotating weekends
- Spanish language proficiency
- DOT Medical Examiner Certification
