Key Responsibilities- Obtain and document patient data, including chief complaint, allergies, vital signs, pain assessment, medication reconciliation, and fall risk.
- Anticipate and prepare exam rooms with necessary equipment and supplies.
- Assist with exams and procedures as requested.
- Utilize written policies and procedures when performing lab and diagnostic tests or procedures.
- Report and document critical lab and diagnostic test values to providers.
- Assist in scheduling patients for office appointments, lab and diagnostic tests, and referrals.
- Review written test preparation handouts with patients and document in medical records.
- Refer patients to providers or registered nurses if further education is required.
- Complete charge tickets and submit charges in electronic health records.
- Graduate of a school of nursing.
- Current Iowa license as a Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Mandatory Reporting: Child and Dependent Adult Abuse training.
This is a full-time position working Monday through Friday, day shift. No weekends, nights, or holidays.
