Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage in diverse planning, design, and construction initiatives.
  • Conduct field evaluations.
  • Support the creation of technical design documentation, calculations, and reports.
  • Utilize software tools for the design of structural components such as bridges and retaining walls.
  • Prepare construction documents, including detailed drawings and specifications.
  • Participate in discussions with clients and stakeholders, contributing to the content of these interactions.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering.
  • Fundamental understanding of structural engineering principles.
  • Familiarity with civil and structural design software.
  • Strong commitment to collaborating with clients, public stakeholders, and team members.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Interest in large-scale multidisciplinary rail projects with dynamic timelines, necessitating innovative thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Valid driver's license.
Preferred Attributes:
  • Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Experience with MicroStation, OpenRail, OpenRoads, and/or AutoCAD Civil3D.
  • Background in construction site operations.
  • Prior experience in freight and passenger railroad design and engineering.
Compensation Range:
$58, $77,966.00
