Architecture Instructor

About the Position

The Department of Architecture at Florida International University is seeking adjunct instructors to teach in a NAAB accredited Master of Architecture Program.

Job Summary

We are looking for highly qualified professionals to teach non-studio based subjects, including drawing, history, structures, building technology, and elective seminars.

Responsibilities

• Teach lecture format classes of approximately 100 students or seminars of approximately 25 students.
• Hold 2 hours a week of office hours.
• Teach at the FIU Paul L. Cejas School of Architecture Building (PCA) or at the FIU Miami Beach Urban Studio (MBUS).

Requirements

• Master's Degree in Architecture or a related field.
• Three to five years of professional or teaching experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• College teaching experience.
• License to practice architecture in the United States or internationally or Ph.D. in the field of architecture, history, theory, or building sciences.
