Position Overview:


In the role of Clinical Research Pharmacy Specialist, you will play a vital part in delivering superior pharmaceutical care to patients facing intricate medical challenges, often necessitating specialized medications and therapies.

This position involves close collaboration with clinical research personnel to guarantee the safe administration of medications for research participants, as well as monitoring patient adherence to clinical trial protocols.


Employment Type:
Full-time, Non-Exempt

Compensation:
$22-$27 per hour, based on experience

Key Responsibilities:
  • Receiving and validating the accuracy and legitimacy of investigational product prescriptions.
  • Reviewing and documenting patient information in accordance with protocol guidelines.
  • Maintaining pharmacy inventory levels.
  • Providing patient education on medication administration.
  • Assisting the Pharmacist with daily pharmacy operations.
  • Ensuring adherence to infection control protocols to protect staff and patients.
  • Dispensing confirmed medications to patients.
  • Responding to incoming calls and addressing patient inquiries.
  • Upholding a clean and safe pharmacy environment by following regulations and procedures.
  • Maintaining accountability logs.

Qualifications:
  • Certified Pharmacy Technician.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience in a pharmacy setting, such as a private practice, hospital, or pharmacy.
  • Familiarity with IRB-approved protocols.
  • Understanding of good clinical practice (GCP) and regulatory compliance.
  • Compliance with institutional policies and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Basic knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Availability to work weekends as required.
  • Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and effective time management abilities.
  • Bilingual (Spanish-speaking) preferred.

Education:
  • High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution required.
  • Associate degree or active Pharmacy Tech license preferred.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience in a clinical research environment preferred.
