Job Summary

Maintain a safe and clean store facility environment, providing exceptional customer service to internal and external customers. Perform other related tasks as needed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Seek opportunities to welcome, engage, serve, and thank customers, maintaining a friendly and enthusiastic atmosphere.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment throughout the store, performing cleaning tasks regularly and as needed.
  • Ensure safe spill-free floors by sweeping and mopping, and maintain sweep logs.
  • Empty trash cans and bins throughout the interior and exterior of store property.
  • Maintain office and employee breakroom areas, wiping down walls and appliances.
  • Clean and sanitize restroom floors, fixtures, and appliances.
  • Clean cases and glass doors throughout the store.
  • Maintain can return machines and area, wiping down machines and emptying bins.
  • Dust and vacuum store facilities, and assist with lamp replacement in light fixtures.
  • Clean and scrub backrooms.
  • Cooperate with customers in a kind and courteous manner.
  • May assist in rounding up and bringing in shopping carts from the parking lot as needed.
Requirements
  • Ability to consistently provide friendly, courteous service to internal and external customers.
  • Work varied hours, typically between 9:00 am and 10:00 pm, in a 24/7 operation, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Read and follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Perform moderate lifting (up to 30 lbs.).
  • Crawl, bend, stoop, climb, balance, reach, walk, push, pull, maneuver in tight quarters, climb on ladders and scaffolding, etc.
  • Use approved chemicals and solvents.
  • Work outside in cold, hot, and inclement weather conditions.
  • Respond quickly to audible pages for spill clean-up, customer service, accidents, and emergencies.
  • Communicate with customers and fellow employees.
  • Learn safety and departmental policies and procedures.
  • Must be 16 years of age or older.
  • Perform primary duties with efficiency and accuracy.
Additional Requirements
  • Food Handlers Certification (per state laws).
  • Machines and equipment operated: pallet jacks, hand truck, garbage and cardboard compactor, automatic floor scrubbing machine, electric shopping cart caddy, and various hand tools.
