Maintenance Supervisor

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to join our team at the Bowery Residents Committee (BRC). As a key member of our facilities management team, you will oversee maintenance operations and ensure that our facilities are clean, safe, and well-maintained.

About the Job:

  • Supervise and coordinate the work of assigned maintenance staff and interns.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of interior and exterior facilities.
  • Perform repairs requiring skills such as carpentry, painting, plumbing, and electrical work.
  • Ensure the preventative maintenance of cooling/heating and domestic hot water systems.
  • Coordinate with outside contractors and vendors as needed.

Requirements:

  • Five years of experience in building maintenance or a related field.
  • Experience in trades is highly desirable.
  • Prior supervisory experience required.
  • Ability to use independent discretion and judgment.
