About the Role

The Senior Financial Reporting Lead Analyst is a senior professional position responsible for driving the generation, analysis, and submission of financial reports to various stakeholders based on requirements such as Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), regulatory, and statutory reporting. The overall objective is to apply in-depth financial knowledge to contribute to directional strategy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the analysis and submission of financial reports to various stakeholders based on requirements such as GAAP, regulatory, and statutory reporting.
  • Produce analytics for variance and root cause on financial platform functionality, data feeds, products, and processes.
  • Work with senior leadership on strategic planning, establishing guidelines, implementing controls, and executing strategic plans.
  • Assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients, and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations.
  • Instill operational discipline into existing team processes.
  • Effective communication: cross-functional collaboration, presentations to Senior Management, issue resolution with Technology.
  • Provide mentorship, guidance, training, upskilling, etc. as required to optimize the capabilities/productivities of the team.
  • Ensure a high level of quality, accuracy, and timeliness of all assigned deliverables with minimal supervision.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree/University degree or equivalent experience.
  • 6-10 years of experience in Financial Services preferred.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel Skills required.
  • Excellent analytical background and skill set to understand financial reporting guidelines, processes, including system data flows.
  • Able to work with large volumes of data from different sources.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours.
  • Ability to multi-task, be proactive, and goal-oriented.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with multiple teams/functions.
  • Master's degree preferred.
