Job Overview

Schneider is seeking a skilled Dry Bulk Owner-Operator to join our team. As an owner-operator, you will have the opportunity to work independently while still enjoying the benefits of being part of a reputable company.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate a tanker trailer at no charge while working under Schneider's authority.
  • Load and unload freight in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Select your own loads and home time to maximize your revenue.
  • Take advantage of Schneider's Purchase Power Program for discounts on fuel, tires, and maintenance.
  • Utilize Schneider's mobile app to easily select and manage your freight.
Requirements
  • Possess a valid Class A Commercial Driver's License.
  • Have both a Tanker endorsement and HazMat endorsement.
  • Obtain a Transportation Worker Identification Card (TWIC) within 90 days of lease start.
  • Meet the following tractor requirements:
    • Truck(s) must be 2010 or newer.
    • Truck(s) need to pass a DOT inspection.
    • Engine(s) must meet EPA10 emissions requirements.
    • Truck(s) need a functioning Collision Mitigation System.
    • Truck(s) need to have a power take-off (PTO).
  • Additional qualifications apply.
Benefits
  • Compensation for time spent in lease-on orientation.
  • Access to Schneider's facilities, including free parking, laundry, meal options, and exercise equipment.
  • Tools to help you succeed, including pumps and compressors, personal protective gear, and a Samsung tablet.
  • Free trailer usage.

The lease-on incentive is not available to Schneider company drivers transferring to owner-operator requisitions.
