Role Details:
Sampson Regional Medical Center is on the lookout for a board-certified Family Medicine physician to take on a pivotal role as core faculty within our Family Medicine Residency program. This position is integral to our mission of training community-focused physicians who are equipped to serve rural populations, while also engaging in outpatient care through our affiliated practice, Sampson Medical Group. We are seeking a dedicated physician who is committed to delivering exceptional and compassionate care to all patients.
Ideal candidates should possess both inpatient and outpatient experience, with proficiency in joint injections, dermatological procedures, and osteopathic manipulative treatment (OMT).
Expect a workload distribution of approximately 70% precepting and 30% clinical duties, with hospital rotations scheduled every 6 to 8 weeks for 1-2 weeks at a time.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervision and education of residents
- Emphasis on teaching and patient care across both inpatient and outpatient settings, with opportunities to enhance administrative skills
- Manage a daily outpatient volume of 20-25 patients in clinic
- Access to a wide range of services at the hospital, including General Surgery, OBGYN, Orthopedics, Primary Care, and Urology
- Family-oriented community with a low cost of living

In addition to a competitive salary and benefits, qualified candidates may also be eligible for loan repayment options, sign-on bonuses, and relocation assistance.
