**Experience Level**: The Warsaw office, established in 2008, encompasses two primary business sectors: a rapidly expanding International Operations Centre (SSC) that provides asset and fund services across various European locations, and a local custody and clearing business that delivers comprehensive local clearing, settlement, and custody solutions for broker-dealers, global custodians, and investment banks in Poland.
**In response to new initiatives within BNP Paribas Securities Services in Poland**, we are on the lookout for candidates eager to play a crucial role in the growth of BNP Paribas's operational capabilities in Poland.
**As the Hedge Fund Accounting and Valuation Team Leader**, you will be responsible for guiding the Valuation team and ensuring the delivery of high-quality services to our clients.
This role presents a unique opportunity to engage in comprehensive end-to-end fund accounting and valuation processes.
****Key Responsibilities:****
- Oversee a team of 8-10 Hedge Fund Accounting professionals.
- Provide expert technical support to the Hedge Fund Accounting Team.
- Manage daily operations, including final reviews of end-to-end NAV calculations.
- Enhance and refine NAV calculation workflows and procedures.
- Review fee calculations and profit and loss distributions.
- Ensure compliance with Fund Accounting standards and adherence to established procedures.
- Alert local management regarding operational challenges.
- Supervise the preparation of Management Information Systems (MIS).
- Collaborate with Senior Management and Risk teams to effectively manage controls and mitigate potential risks.
- Direct daily activities of the team, including work allocation and oversight.
- Manage all internal and external audits to ensure favorable outcomes.
- Respond promptly and professionally to inquiries and requests.
- Establish strong relationships across all levels within client organizations and inter-departmentally.
- Conduct annual performance evaluations and provide ongoing feedback based on objectives for direct reports.
****Qualifications:****
- Bachelor's degree or higher.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in Fund Accounting, Valuations, or related fields.
- At least 1 year of experience in a managerial role.
- Fluency in English is required.
- Demonstrated proficiency in people management, with the ability to delegate effectively and foster team commitment.
- Experience in planning, initiating, and executing objectives.
- Capability to identify, recommend, and implement process improvements.
- Strong IT skills, particularly in Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Solid understanding of Fund Accounting processes.
- Ability to work efficiently and exhibit initiative.
- Attention to detail and proven capacity to manage complexity.
- Excellent communication skills with a strong client service orientation.
