Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional patient care and support to our veterinary team in emergency situations.
  • Assist with medical procedures, including administering medications and performing diagnostic tests.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient care and treatment.
  • Collaborate with our veterinary team to ensure seamless patient care and communication.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date on the latest veterinary techniques and best practices.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 2+ years of clinical experience in the veterinary industry.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to effectively interface with staff and clients.
  • Consistent and reliable ability to perform mathematical calculations for drug doses, CRIs, client invoices, and estimates.
  • Maintain the California Veterinary Assistant Controlled Substance Permit (VACSP); must obtain within 60-days of hire or transfer into this role; (this requirement is waived if incumbent holds a valid CA-RVT license).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) certification.
  • Emergency or Specialty experience.
Work Schedule
  • Casual Status - extra shifts as needed.
