We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Telemetry Unit at ChristianaCare. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work closely with hospitalists, specialty consultants, and transitional nursing staff to provide high-quality patient care.
About the RoleThis is a 36-hour per week evening/midnight shift position, with weekends and holidays covered according to department guidelines. You will be responsible for managing a team of 3-4 medical or surgical patients per shift, working with the multidisciplinary team to achieve realistic healthcare goals for the patient and their family.
Key Responsibilities- Assess patients' physical and emotional status, past health history, health practices, and both the patient's and the family's knowledge of their disease and its treatment.
- Engage in a relationship-based care model, building relationships with patients and families as well as with your peers, guided by our values of excellence and love.
- Plan nursing care to promote patient wellness and provide patients and their families with information related to their disease process and patient education.
We are looking for a Registered Nurse with telemetry experience, preferably with Progressive Care or Gerontology Certification. You will also need to possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
