About the Role: This is a challenging and rewarding position that requires attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently. You will be responsible for safely operating a commercial vehicle, performing pre- and post-trip inspections, and completing all required documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safely operate a heavy-duty truck on swing routes, adhering to all local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Perform pre- and post-trip inspections of assigned vehicles, using standard DVIR forms to note any issues.
  • Immediately report any unsafe situations or service calls to the Route Manager or Dispatch.
  • Participate in scheduled training, briefings, and meetings as required by the Route Manager.
  • Work closely with Route Managers to improve route efficiencies and identify problem or unsafe accounts.
  • Assist other company drivers as directed, and notify the Route Manager of any incidents, accidents, injuries, or property damage.

Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you must have a High School Diploma or GED, and at least 4 years of experience operating a vehicle requiring a CDL. A valid Class B Commercial Drivers License (CDL) is also required. Additionally, you must be eligible to legally work in the country where the position is located, and be at least 18 years of age.
