Position Title: Facilities Engineer

Role Summary: We are in search of a skilled Facilities Engineer to become a vital member of our team. This role is crucial in supervising and directing various engineering initiatives within the pharmaceutical sector. The ideal candidate will possess substantial expertise in HVAC systems, plant utilities, or clean utilities specific to pharmaceutical manufacturing.
  1. Facility Operations and Maintenance:
  • Manage the daily operations and upkeep of pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities, ensuring optimal functionality of all systems.
  • Establish preventive maintenance strategies to reduce downtime and prolong the lifespan of equipment and systems.
  • Quickly diagnose and resolve facility-related challenges to mitigate production disruptions.
Regulatory Compliance and Safety:
  • Guarantee that facilities adhere to regulatory standards, environmental laws, and safety protocols.
  • Conduct routine inspections and assessments to pinpoint potential safety risks or compliance deficiencies and enact corrective measures.
  • Collaborate with regulatory and quality assurance teams to ensure facilities align with cGMP (current Good Manufacturing Practices) standards.
Sustainability and Energy Efficiency:
  • Adopt energy-efficient methodologies and sustainability programs to lessen the environmental footprint of facility operations.
  • Assess and propose energy-conserving technologies and practices to enhance overall facility performance.
Project Leadership:
  • Oversee facility enhancement projects, including renovations, expansions, and equipment installations.
  • Formulate project plans, budgets, and timelines, and supervise project execution from inception to completion.
  • Coordinate with external contractors, engineers, and suppliers to ensure timely and budget-compliant project delivery.
Documentation and Reporting:
  • Maintain precise records of facility maintenance activities, repairs, and upgrades.
  • Generate reports and documentation for regulatory bodies, management, and stakeholders as necessary.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Comprehensive understanding of HVAC systems, hydronic utilities, steam systems, building automation systems, and/or cleanroom environments.
  • Familiarity with cGMP regulations and guidelines pertinent to pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities.
  • Strong project management capabilities, including the ability to juggle multiple projects concurrently.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Effective communication abilities and a collaborative spirit in a team-oriented setting.
  • Professional engineering license (PE) is advantageous.

$69,000-$213,000 USD
