Position Summary
Collaborate with Maintenance Technicians to undertake a variety of tasks aimed at installing and maintaining production and facility equipment.
Engage in emergency repairs of production machinery during operational hours and conduct scheduled maintenance during machine downtimes.
Utilize mechanical skills to address issues related to mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems, including troubleshooting and repairs of production equipment and facilities.
Possess a foundational understanding of electrical systems and assist Maintenance Technicians in basic electrical troubleshooting and repairs. Receive training in fundamental welding techniques using arc and MIG welding machines.
Interpret equipment manuals, parts lists, and work orders to execute necessary maintenance and service tasks.
Utilize computer systems to access CMMS (Odyssey) for searching repair parts, reviewing equipment bills of materials, and generating work orders.
Work alongside Maintenance Technicians to identify problems, replace or repair components, and conduct testing and adjustments. Participate in regular preventative maintenance of machinery, equipment, and plant facilities.
Assist in performing various maintenance functions related to hydraulic, pneumatic, water, and sewer plumbing systems.
Employ a range of hand and power tools, measuring instruments, electrical meters, and material handling equipment in executing duties.
Collaborate with Maintenance Technicians to identify faulty operations, conditions, or defective materials and report these to the appropriate authorities.
Be prepared to work at heights using manlifts, stairs, and ladders, and operate mobile equipment and cranes as required.
Perform additional tasks as directed by the supervisor, which may include taking on lead responsibilities.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment, addressing and reporting any hazards encountered. Understand and adhere to safety regulations to ensure the safety of oneself and others.
