Janitorial Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Custodian to join our team at Zapata County ISD. As a Custodian, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and comfortable school environment.

• Perform daily cleaning and upkeep of campuses
• Operate cleaning equipment, power tools, and hand tools
• Communicate effectively with administrators and other staff
• Schedule and organize custodial and maintenance work
• Take initiative in responding to custodial problems before they escalate
• Work as a member of a team

• Ability to read and understand instructions for cleaning, maintenance, and safety procedures
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively and harmoniously with administrators and other staff
• Treat all people with dignity and respect
• Ability to communicate effectively
• Ability to follow and convey verbal and written instructions

This is a full-time position with a workday schedule. The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced environment and be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

We offer a competitive salary and benefits package, including auxiliary pay range and pay grade 1. The minimum salary is $18,600.00 and the maximum salary is $25,629.00.
