Selby Jennings is currently seeking a Senior Associate in Private Equity to enhance their team. This role offers a unique opportunity to engage with a diverse range of sectors, including business services, consumer goods, industrials, and manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive market and industry research to inform investment strategies.
- Develop financial models, perform valuation assessments, and analyze returns for potential investment opportunities.
- Lead the due diligence efforts for investment transactions.
- Oversee and manage the existing investment portfolio.
- Support the team in operational activities related to portfolio companies.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 1-3 years of experience in Investment Banking with a focus on M&A at a reputable middle-market or lower middle-market firm; experience in transaction advisory consulting is also valued, along with 1-2 years of buy-side experience at a respected lower-middle market or middle-market private equity firm.
- A Bachelor's Degree is required.
- Exceptional skills in financial analysis, modeling, budgeting, and forecasting (candidates should be prepared for a modeling assessment).
- Strong interpersonal skills coupled with a dedicated work ethic.
- Prior experience or a keen interest in sectors such as business services, industrials, manufacturing, and consumer goods is preferred.
