Job Title: Behavior Analyst
Job Description:
Apex Therapeutic Services is seeking a licensed Behavior Analyst to work in school districts in Long Island. The ideal candidate will have a Master's Degree in Psychology, Special Education, Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field, and at least 2 years of practical experience in ABA approach including assessments and intervention of children, adolescents, and/or adults with behavioral concerns.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and train staff in appropriate programs and behavioral techniques used for training individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorders and related disabilities.
- Provide clinical supervision of individuals with Autism at home and the community.
- Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments (FBA) and develop Behavior Intervention Plans (BIP).
- Work with families to teach them behavior analytic procedures and help them learn how to follow plans and objectives.
- Document treatment plans, goals, and objectives using web-based systems.
- Attend meetings for school districts.
Requirements:
- Licensed Behavior Analyst in New York State.
- Master's Degree in Psychology, Special Education, Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of practical experience in ABA approach including assessments and intervention of children, adolescents, and/or adults with behavioral concerns.
- Knowledge of assessment tools and data collection systems.
- Knowledge of FBA and BIP.
