Job Summary:
The Johnston County Public Health Department is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Staff Psychiatrist - Physician III B to join our Behavioral Health Division. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality medical care to patients with a range of mental health conditions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Treating and diagnosing a variety of mental health conditions, including psychiatric and neurological disorders
- Compiling clear and concise notes for patient charts and making oral presentations of cases in medical conferences
- Guiding the work performance of physicians with limited experience
- Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with associate personnel, patients, and their families, and the general public
Requirements:
- Board eligible/board certified psychiatrist and licensed to practice medicine in the State of North Carolina
- Thorough knowledge of the theory, principles, and practices of general, preventive medicine and of the techniques involved
- Skills in treating and diagnosing a variety of diseases and injuries and in the practice of an applicable specialty of medicine
