Environmental Sustainability Internship Opportunity

As an intern, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience through various projects, acquiring knowledge by performing tasks as directed and showcasing your expertise by supporting ABB's operations and enhancing personal education/employment opportunities. The work model for this role is onsite, and you will be mainly accountable for:

Managing waste regulatory compliance efforts by completing assessments of waste disposal sites used by ABB facilities
Supporting energy-efficiency, waste management, and water use minimization efforts
Performing data analysis, investigation, and reporting as required
Promoting sustainability awareness within ABB
Learning about contaminated land management and environmental remediation efforts by participating in team meetings
Traveling to ABB facilities to participate in environmental assessments as needed
Participating in personal and professional development programming

Requirements for the Role

Currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Sciences, or related fields in the United States
Intern must have reliable transportation to and from the worksite
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now and in the future
Utilize critical thinking skills to analyze complex situations and develop strategic solutions
Effectively organize and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines
Demonstrate the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously without compromising quality
Collaborate with team members to convey ideas, share information, and provide updates on project progress
