Job Summary

The Security Officer plays a vital role in ensuring the safety and security of patients, visitors, and staff at St. Luke's Hospital. This position requires a professional and helpful attitude, with a focus on providing excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Patrol hospital property to identify and mitigate potential security risks.
  • Respond to security alerts, fires, and disasters, and provide support during emergency situations.
  • Investigate security-related incidents and document findings.
  • Lock and unlock buildings, and enforce hospital parking policies.
  • Participate in fire and disaster response teams, and demonstrate competence in responding to agitation/violent behavior.
  • Perform hazardous patient decontamination procedures, and identify and mitigate potential hazards.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent certificate (G.E.D.) or a minimum of 3 years of verifiable experience in lieu of diploma.
  • Experience in security/security-related fields and customer service is preferred.
  • A valid PA or NJ Driver's License, and a good driving record.
  • The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, and to prioritize tasks and respond to emergencies.
