We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Family Practice Physician to join our team at Asian Health Services. As a Family Practice Physician, you will be responsible for providing high-quality medical care to our patients, leading the healthcare team, and contributing to the improvement of our services.
Key Responsibilities- Provide medical care of the highest quality to AHS patients
- Be a leader of the healthcare team and provide input to improve the operations and quality of services delivered
- Provide health maintenance, preventative healthcare, and evaluation and treatment for acute and chronic illnesses
- Provide health education to patients and perform basic interpretation of EKGs and laboratory values
- Supervise physician assistants, mid-level practitioners, nurses, residents, and students in the care they provide
- Assist with triaging phone calls and drop-in visits, participate in 24-hour on-call and hospitalization responsibilities, and assist in maintaining and facilitating smooth clinic operations
- Assist in utilization review and medical quality assurance, review patient charts, and discuss patient disposition
- Participate in designated projects delegated by the Medical Director and assume administrative work as requested
- Carry out health advocacy measures by overall AHS health advocacy plans, serve as a facilitator, and take initiative in discovering new and more effective means of conducting health advocacy work with patients
- Must have a valid California Physician/Surgeon license
- Must have current Board Certification or be Board Eligible in specialty
- Interest and commitment to serve the Asian community
- Primary care specialty in pediatrics, family practice, etc
- Preferred qualifications include proficiency in an Asian language and experience working in the Asian community
- Medical, dental, vision premiums 100% paid by AHS
- 12 vacation days, 12 sick days, 12 holidays, and 3 floating holidays
- 3% 403B employer contributions and up to 2% employee match contribution
- Transportation benefit paid by AHS, FSA/dependent care assistance, and long-term disability
