Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Truck Wash Team Member to join our team at Seaboard Foods. As a key member of our truck wash crew, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and safety of our trucks and trailers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Scrape out, wash, and disinfect trucks and trailers according to company processes and procedures.
  • Scrape or blow out manure and woodchips from trailers.
  • Wash and disinfect equipment according to company guidelines.
  • Occasionally unload woodchips from van trailers.
  • Capable of operating a bobcat to clean loose woodchips out of the basket, scrape out, unload new wood chips from van trailer, or clean mud pits.
  • Report any discrepancies in truck wash equipment or personal protective equipment to the truck wash crew leader.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence preferred.
  • Ability to apply mathematical concepts to practical situations preferred.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Work Environment

The employee will spend a portion of their time outside, at times in inclement conditions, and frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and in high precarious places and is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and toxic or caustic chemicals and extreme heat. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
